My girls just love all things hearts, pink and fluffy…all things that Valentine’s day is. So we do kindof embrace it around here and use it as a time to remind us as parents to teach the children about love. About loving eachother, about how much Mommy and Daddy love eachother and about how much we love them. Just like Christmas is a reminder of what God has done for us (and Easter for that matter), so is Valentine’s Day.
I am learning that with three children, everything must have an organized plan well in advance. This also helps when randomness is sprung upon us. We are ready for everything else, so a little something unexpected doesn’t hurt the plan too much. (Notice I said, “too much”, meaning it does mess with our plan a little:) So I am planning on doing very little for Valentine’s with the girls, but we are doing a little 🙂
Enough of my subtle hints of how out of control I feel my life has become. (One more…it isn’t the children’s lives so much, but just mine. My organized free time is far in the future I think. I have some free time, but when I get to it, I just don’t know what to do first and usually spend my time organizing what I am going to do with my free time!!!! Oh boy! Now I sound confusing!)
Here are the little cards that we made (Lil’ A did have a huge hand in this from cutting out the letters with me helping her on the cricut, to her getting Lil’ E organized to take the photos and then telling me what colors we should use on the computer.) She was going to cut them with the paper cutter (Wow-it sounds like I just give my almost four year old daughter a lot of free reign with the cutting supplies in my craft room, huh? Trust me, I was there trying to control everything…), but she was in bed… (Actually her and Lil’ E were playing dress up at 10pm tonight…lil’ E was down to a diaper and Lil’ A was picking out some new PJs for her….oh the joys!)
I told the Mister tonight that I felt so creative after designing these…I just need to find a way to print all my cute cards out (when I need more than 10) that is local and not Walmart…since I’d like a more card stock style to them. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! The lady at the Staples copy and print was no help, nor was their website. I just want somewhere that I can walk in, say I want this in 5×7 on 60 lb card stock (I think that’s the weight I was using today) and they just say absolutely! And they are ready in a day or so…or even right away…and no, up here in Can-A-da, we don’t have Kinkos….As I am sure they would provide such a lovely service. Even self serve where I can put my USB in and pick the JPEG file I made and have it printed instantly on something that isn’t photo paper….
OK, I’m done..I really am….
And yes, I did get this idea off of Pinterest…however…the card itself was all my idea!
Doesn’t Baby M look so happy? He usually is….until tonight. I know some of you are going to be shocked…but I drank a whole bottle of Coke Zero today…yup…and then I paid for it, because M cried for about an hour….then I gave him some baby Ovol, and well, he feel right asleep. This sleep deprived mommy just couldn’t think. It was the Mister that said, “would you like me to get the Ovol?” He was in the other room watching hockey with the family…so I really did appreciate that he went out of his way:) So yes, I promise not to drink any more coke while nursing Baby M. I felt so bad. I know that some doctors say your body is a pretty good filter with food and drink intake…but 2 cups of Coke doesn’t get filtered enough. I’ll stick to coffee…Baby M falls asleep after I’ve had some and he’s eaten. Again, Shock I know…each to his own I believe.
I know I mention a lot about being sleep deprived. I should just go to sleep. But I just need to blog. It helps me stay sane in my organized chaotic life. But for now, I have blogged enough for one night even though I have many more things I’d love to share. Please be patient. My goal is to blog more frequently. I just need to get through a few more months. March will be Daisy’s 3rd Anniversary. I have some pretty great ideas to celebrate…hope you will stay tuned and join me!
