So, I am so sorry that I haven’t been around! Almost every night, once the house finally is silent, I think of a list of things I’d like to tell y’all about. And then it makes me really tired to think of going into my office (yeah for the office:) and start up the laptop and wait the whole 1 minute it takes for my mac to come to life. So I just don’t do it. And Naptime…wow…a whole other ordeal. I really want to catch you all up on everything…but I am pretty sure that is impossible.
I usually like a lot of detail. Yes, I can see a few of my closest readers smiling at that comment as an understatement. 🙂 But today…I should say tonight, I am just going to stick with point form.
Nov. 25th-Moving Day: It’s been a month and a half since we moved. And now I feel at home. Which translates into knowing where things are 99.99% of the time.
Dec 11th-I made a really fast blog post about us moving.
Month of December- Lil’ E decided 1am, 3am and 5 am were good times to visit alone with Mommy. Jury’s still out on that in my books.
Dec 20th: Grandparents arrived: They stayed with us for the better part of 2 weeks. We loved it! Lil’ E and Lil’ A were in heaven with all the attention. “Gan Nan & Gampy Jim” are missed very much.
Christmas: Enough said.
New Year’s: Readjust to everyone being gone. Can you say Laundry 10 times fast? Because that’s how much it felt like I was doing. Up and down the stairs!
Whew. That just reminds me of how busy the last few weeks have been. It’s 11:23pm and I decided to break the silence. I miss blogging and what it does for me. I feel relaxed after I’ve sat and chatted. I guess it’s a one way chat, but I think sometimes we as stay at home mommies need it. I love talking to Lil’ A, but half the time she and I don’t understand each other and I more than her gets lonely in the day. She chats away in play and I watch, smiling that she is just such a creative little genius at 2. That alone amazes me. I had every intention of getting her started on a preschool program here with me. We did start on colors this past October. She can match them all perfectly. I guess you could say all the crafts have been great preschool activities. We talk about all the colors daily. So I guess I just need to kick up the consistency a notch.
I have barely had time to think about this coming year. What will it hold? Where will we go? Who will we meet? And then about last year. I haven’t had time to think about how amazing it was. Lil’ E of course is the best part of it. And no, for all you curious people who are too scared to ask-we don’t feel like our family is complete…but you never know what will happen. We definitely are enjoying the two. 🙂
So, I am back. With the amount of times that Lil’ A tells me to go sew in a day, I’ll have a few new creative projects up here. Side note: Today my machine went in for service. Lil’ A was so concerned that it was broken and that we’d have to buy a new one because I have to sew. (She says this all really fast, at least 3 times so I get it all and her hands move very quickly…I’m pretty sure that comes from me all the talking with her hands.) Anyway…it was super cute.
And I can’t post without photos. So here are some from the last few weeks….
Happy Monday!
