Things you should know about me if we’re going to be BFFs

I got this idea from Ashley over at Little Miss Momma. I just love how honest she is on her blog.

I started this blog as a way to encourage other mommies in their daily walk. And I really think that honesty is the best way to connect with my readers….so here it goes.

I wanted nothing else but to be a mommy all my life, which is why I think I loved babysitting.

In Grade 11, I decided I’d give the field of nursing a shot. Nope, not for me. Back to my sure calling- teaching.

I could watch Anne of Green Gables for a week straight and still not get bored.

I dream to be a writer and make a full time living of it.

I crave organization, but don’t do the things that bring it about everyday, like putting my jacket in the closet instead of on the railing post.

I don’t like things on my counter. I like them clean and clear.

Watching the same movies over and over is enjoyable….the Mister doesn’t share this passion.

I don’t like baking. Too many steps. I’ll decorate cupcakes, make cookies…but not much more. (This cake was truly an experiment today…it took wayyyyyy too long…but Lil’A enjoyed coaching me through the icing stage…and eating the frosting!)

I have never broken a bone.

I grew up without watching cable tv

Our playroom growing up was set up like a house.

My brother and I mixed water in with the cake mixes from my Easy Bake oven and then ate them…unbaked because we weren’t allowed to use the oven without parental supervision.

Creativity flows in my family….basket weaving…sewing…knitting….but I only sew.

I could pour over scrapbooking magazines for hours claiming I was gathering ideas. But I really just like looking at all the finished projects.

I get very excited when I see a good deal. But I married a man who thinks good deals are fine in moderation.

Our children have all spent the first 3 months of their life listening to my hair dryer on cool in their room. We claim this is how good sleepers are made.

I feel better when I drink a full glass of water before my coffee…but I rarely do it.

I never had a salad until I was 12. We were a meat, potato, and carrot stick family…oh and cucumbers (which my brother ate before I had a chance to reach across the table.)

My 31st birthday was the first I ever spent with my Nana.

I love cut gardens.

I was so worried braces wouldn’t work, so I wore my head gear religiously….even on youth trips.

I want to go on vacation alone just so I can sleep.

I have a hard keeping my hair down.

I think that if you have worn a trend once before (neon, colored jeans…) you should think twice before wearing it again….

I don’t spend money on clothes…and then get really disappointed when after washing the same shirt 20 times, it has a hole.

When I retire, I hope bookstores are still around…working at one is going to be my “fun” job.

I long for a pool in my backyard……

I online window shop…even put things into my virtual bag…but only buy 1/8th of what I want online. (The Mister hopes I buy nothing….but seriously, 1,000 wipes delivered to my door? Sign me up! Three kids and a cart full of diapers and wipes boxes and groceries is a pain!)

I love when a hard job is successful…such as groceries with three kids. Makes me feel like superwoman.

I never had a strong desire to have both genders….I just wanted a handful of kids. I think 3/5 is good right now:)

I need a word to focus my life, bible study and my non fiction book reading during the year….2013’s : Balance & Precious Moments of Grace

Your turn…three things….Ready? Set? Go!
