Pinterest Fridays…and an Update

So, it’s Friday!!!! Yes! We always get excited around here at about noon, since that’s when Daddy gets off from work to play with the kiddos and I get a moment to sit…usually. Not today. Before we get to Pinterest, let me get to the update.

We are moving! Yeah! Just across town, but the house & yard are much bigger and we will no longer have space issues. We are really excited, but with a move comes many, many other tasks. Including, but not limited to, selling our existing house, packing, organizing, showing the house, cleaning the house…. So that would explain my absence during the week. I don’t have time or energy to blog this month. November 30th is the day, and then Christmas is right around the corner. That being said, I’m still here, we just might not get to visit as much in the next two months. I’ve been planning what I’ll be doing in the new house design wise. There are a few minor upgrades and then some updates to bring it into the year 2011:). And yes, I will take before and after photos for sure! I’ve recently been inspired by Sarah Richardson off of “Sarah’s House”. Has anyone been watching Season 4? Ohhhh…..that orange mud room and wallpapered powder room….

While the colors aren’t my style and the birds wouldn’t be singing on my walls, it’s the idea. I like that the curtains are long, not just short over the actual window. It brings elegance to a powder room. Who doesn’t like that?

I think I might have lost focus just a bit. Onto Pinterst Fridays!

Today, I am going to show you a glimpse of my virtual closet.

I think the great thing about pinterest is you can see something in a photo and it helps you put together an outfit with what you already own. Take the photo below for instance. I have all those pieces (similar), but rarely wear them all like this. But it looks great. So that’s what I’ll be wearing running errands Monday.

I have kids. White no longer fits well in my wardrobe, especially white pants. But one day…. this would look equally cute with lighter jeans….or khakis… I just need a new blazer.

I own about a dozen jersey dresses. But atlas, I am still nursing lil’ E, so wearing a dress with a cami to make it modest is difficult. But next fall…

I am still on the hunt for longer t-shirts. I really don’t like wearing leggings and then having my curves out there for everyone to see. It’s like wearing opaque tights in my opinion. I did find a DIY project on taking an XL t-shirt and turning it inside out and then taking it in myself. Apparently the Old Navy Clearance rack is full of these XL t-shirts. Hummm…

I actually have this outfit (again, similar). I just need to get some new belts. I haven’t bought a belt in 5 years. Yup, clearance rack belt shopping here I come!

I like the colors orange and grey together. Again, another outfit hanging separately in my closet the needs each other!

Finally, Ruffles! My husband isn’t a ruffle fan. I am not sure if many guys are, as I think it reminds them of a little girl look, but I think there are feminine. I just try and not wear them around my husband. I think ruffled shirt look great on women with smaller busts….which is why I have a hard time buying a shirt like this. But I do own a few ruffled skirts.

I think Fall is about three things this year: ruffles, boots & leggings. I love leggings! I honestly think they are like wearing pjs out in public, but you can dress ’em up! And the cuteness is a great bonus! No one looks cute in flannel, baggy pajama pants. Just face the facts and turn those pants into something else. I have 4 pairs and I have to think of a sewing project for them or my adoring husband is going to burn them in our next bon fire. I know at least one other guy who is wanting to do that to some of his wife’s wardrobe. Anyone else have a husband who wants to join them?

Let me know what your favorites are! And if you need an invite to pinterest, I have some left, so just ask in the comments section below and I’ll send it your way!

And if I don’t talk to you this weekend-Enjoy the weekend & relax!

Krystle
