Nursery Reveal…Part One!

So….you all have heard the story by now. We thought we were having a baby GIRL….but God had other plans to surprise us!

Baby M arrived all boy. Complete with a pink nursery at home to boot!

Now I didn’t go all out really. I order a few metres of fabric and sewed a few things. 3 blankets, 1 crib bumper slipcover (which would go to the window seat for extra padding later), 1 ruffle bedskirt, 1 ruffled curtain and some pillow cases. Ok, that’s a long list. But I really had to keep myself busy being pregnant the last few months. I wasn’t really sleeping all that well, so sewing helped.

I was thinking about doing a few tutorials. If there is anything you are really wanting to know how I made it, send me an e-mail. I’ll write some up if there is enough interest.

The pink was a choice of Lil’ A and the Mister. Seeing as Lil’ E was still a resident of this room, I didn’t really see it as a big deal…until Baby M moved in about a month ago. (He stayed in our room about 2 weeks. Lil A stayed 2 weeks and Lil’ E stayed about 2 days.) I think He would have been in his own room sooner, but the girls were just learning to share a room. I, for the record, thought we should paint the room a blue/aqua color that matched the rose print…but no. I lost.

I was really going for the vintage/shabby chic nursery. What do you think? I loved it. Most of my friends think I should sell the items from this room. However, maybe we aren’t done having Littles just yet. We shall see….:)

Pretty, isn’t it? Stay tuned for the Baby Boy Nursery reveal this weekend. I also share how this whole process made me feel….it was a very interesting few days after M was born. Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself.

Stay Tuned!
