Here’s what’s happening in my studio-I’m sewing for myself!!!!

Pettiskirt : This is made of muslin. I did mine exactly as she did. It worked out perfectly.

Here is a great Tutorial I found today. With all the lace showing up in the fashion world, this might just be cute for Lil’ A…and maybe myself. I’m not sure how I could do it for myself…I think I’d have to lay low on the ruffles this time around. I already own 3 ruffle skirts. But I am crazy about the lace…can a girl have too much? Ok…probably!

Crafty Cupboard Cafe Skirt

I am looking forward to my lace coming in the mail so that I can make this skirt. The mail here in Canada has been slow due to the strike we had. It is now effecting my craft…not good!

Lace for Days Skirt

It’s pretty similar to this skirt that I found, but didn’t buy at H & M

Anyway….I thought I’d let you all into my sketch book (BTW-Has anyone seen the new law in Alberta about “Distracted Driving”? Well, I had a good laugh about “sketching while driving”….PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU DO THIS….as I don’t believe there is much difference between sketching and lighting up a cigarette in a car; which isn’t on the list… I’m just saying…)

I’m going to be making a few changes to Daisy’s Garden over the next few weeks. My desire with the Daisy’s blog has always been to blog to encourage other moms that they are not alone when they think they’d rather pull out their hair than talk with their two year old (among other things…) and to share news about my shop which carries all sorts of things to keep the children in our life happy and entertained. But I also love reading, and would like to have a space on my site that lists my favourite books (Mom and Children), blogs & tutorials. Keep reading to see what’s new!

In the meantime…practice not sketching in the car and take a few deep breaths before you consider pulling out your hair (Read my blog about hair . You’ll want to keep yours)
