“Let Down Your Hair!”

Romeo and Juliet right? “Let down your hair…deny my….something something….” It’s been awhile since I’ve read Shakespeare, you’ll have to forgive me.

This post is dedicated to a new friend from church. She’s a brand new mom. While we haven’t spent much time together, we’d been in the music team for a while together now. Anyway…I was thinking about things that help me as a mom…and these tips below are some of those things.

However, don’t we all have an issue with our hair? I’m pretty sure if I didn’t blow dry my hair straight every once and a while, I’d have  a permanent kink in my hair where my ponytail/bun/mess is on top of my head daily.

Here’s some links to some great tutorials on how to make your hair last for a few days. I love trying out new, fast, simple ways to do my hair. Bear in mind that these tips are for longer hair.

This is how mine looks after I “kind of” follow the above blog post. As you can see I’m a real winner on taking self portraits (and now I see how bad of a crop job I did)…ya right….

I read this really great article from Bethany Joy Galeotti on oily skin/scalp and dry shampoo. Read it-it’ll change your life..aka-more time in the morning…at least 4 mornings a week! I never could only wash my hair a few times a week, until I discovered dry shampoo! Life changing! And such a time saver!! Ok, so some people find that gross, I however was one of you. Read the article. You’ll understand why I tried it! And seriously, it only took a week before I noticed an decrease in the amount of oil! Anyway!

Here’s my favourite dry shampoo by Ojon. A bit more expensive than Tresemme Dry Shampoo which works about the same, but has that white residue (that does come out once you brush a lot!)

Hopefully with these tips you can “Let your hair down” more often…even if it is just while watching “Clifford the Big Red Dog!”
