WeeStock and such

So, we have decided to venture out into the world of craft shows! We were pretty hesitant to do so, but thought the only thing we’d lose would be our application fee and a Saturday. And I’m a praying woman, so I knew it was the right thing to do. I trust God…it’ll all work out!

We are going to be show casing our work from Daisy’s studio November, 20, 2010. Check out www.weestock.ca for more information. We will mainly be bringing our blankets and gift buckets to the show, as well as a few other new accessories. If there is something specific you would like, let us know ahead of time by sending us an e-mail (krystle@daisysgarden.ca)

I just finished editing my novel. I am now in the process of re-writing some parts. Some means a lot of parts. Sometimes being critical of yourself can lead you in a whole different direction, or just make you have a greater passion for what you’ve done. For me, the editing process has left me in on one side for part of the novel and the other side for the second half of the novel. I am really excited to see how it will turn out.

To welcome in the new season of “Back to School”, I have decided to start posting book reviews for parents. As an Early Childhood teacher, I am passionate about children not only reading early, but parents encouraging reading by reading to your children, with their children and in front of their children. Children imitate their parents. If you don’t have any books in the house, or never take your children to the bookstore or library, how in the world can you expect them to enjoy reading if you don’t show them an example worth of them ‘reading’. Our first review will be posted here on our blog tomorrow. Here’s a hint-yellow duck, yellow duck….

I would really like to join a book club…but when would I have time for that. I guess an online club might be my only opportunity to get this checked off my to do list.

In the world of Daisy’s, we have some beautiful fabric we are currently working with. Being that I have a little girl, I am always drawn to girlie fabric. But I have really been on the lookout for little boy fabric. We just received some cute polka dotted fabric, with a green background and some striped fabric in green, navy, white and orange. Watch our photos page for some new products coming within the month.

As always, if you have something you are just dreaming of making, but just need a little help, do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a great week! We’ll be checking in a few times on the blog this week, so don’t forget to stop by!

Krystle
