I wish…

So, I’ve blog stalking (I’ve heard this phrase as of late…I’m sure it will be entered into the dictionary at some point in the near future) this really cute blog called “Love Stitched” and she does a post about what she is wishing for. Well…other than more sleep (see, I’m doing this blog just before dinner my time-not in the middle of the night! Sometimes a girl has to vent…and I vent through the written word. Although sometimes it’s better to not vent online-it’s there forever…..) I thought I’d show you my “Wish List”

It includes:

This is what I imagine Heaven is like:) These are photos of North Carolina’s beaches. Prince Edward Island…but warmer. Sand Dunes, Waves, salt sea air….peace and quiet…yup vacation!

Really, that’s all I wish right now. I’ve learned recently that even more so that ever before we as humans, really North Americans have too much stuff. (Says a Kindergarten teacher with 20 boxes of “stuff” in her garage. Honestly it is all teaching material and a huge investment in my career) I want to learn to give more than desire things. My girls are way more important than stuff….and even a vacation as breathtaking as the one above would be. People are more important. How we talk….how we listen…how we give to others.

Not saying it isn’t nice to look at things. It is. I’m just giving myself a check up in the area of how much of it do I actually “need”. For me…probably not much. This is something I seem to be constantly working on. There never is an end to it in my opinion. We are so surrounded my media constantly telling us about a sale…even telling us how to save money by using coupons 🙂 But how many bottles of shampoo do you need right now? How about in your life?

That being said. God gives us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4)…after we delight in Him. Delighting in Him is as simple as being kind to a stranger or helping missionaries in need. It’s the simple things. Like today…

Here in Canada, it’s Canada Day! It’s been nice to spend time at home as a family. We did go and look at a piece of land to build a house for our expanding family & business. It was a beautiful morning. The sky was so blue and the grass so green. Now I’ll have to go look when it’s raining and see if we get the same feeling we did today. There are so many things to consider when you are buying a large lot like we are planning on doing. No need to rush it, as I’m not “allowed” to want to move forever 🙂

Lil’ A and her Daddy just returned from an errand for me, so I need to go and be mommy for a bit. Hopefully I will get started on the long list of posts I have been jotting down to write.

Happy Weekend!

Krystle
