A Happy Day….

So, Little A is one!!!!! I can’t believe it. She’s just such a doll!

I had so much fun putting together her little party. I really enjoyed making the cake! All my photos are on the other computer, so I will have to get them posted tomorrow. I had lots of left overs, but my brothers came at night, so at least they could help me out with keeping my “Salsa Babies” figure (For more about Salsa babies see J\'adore Dance )

Little A wore her tutu! It is really cute! Tomorrow there will be photos on Daisy’s. I really excited to be offering these in my store. They are a custom order, as sizes vary and a lot of time goes into making them. I added some little extras on Little A’s that I haven’t seen in very many boutiques.

I did make Little A a pettiskirt. Wow! That was a lot of work. I definitely need a better sewing machine to actually make the process easier, as it wasn’t difficult to put together, it was just attaching the middle layer to the satin waistband. When I do get a better machine and find a great supplier for fabric, I will start to offer those as well in my online store.

I’m getting excited about the WeeStock Baby Expo! Check it out online. I am hoping to participate with my products around Christmas time at the next proposed date.

This week I am planning on a few great new designs and projects. Little A’s birthday was great for my creativity, but I’m itching to get into my NEW STUDIO! Ok, so it’s just the upstairs bedroom beside Little A’s, but it’s a space all my own just like my husband’s garage. I can’t wait to get all my supplies organized.

I’m looking forward to spending more time with Daisy. It seems like I’ve been busy with other things, but I am learning that life is all what you want it to be-the key being you. Doing what you love means making those things priority. The past two weeks, Little A’s party was mine-and I won’t got back and change that after seeing her wowed at her cake and all her friends who came to celebrate.

While Family is always priority-there is always NAP time! hehe!

Here’s a question this week: When do you think it is a good time to start doing messy crafts with your kids? I am thinking about homemade playdough and finger paint in the coming weeks. Being a kindergarten teacher (at VCS) I’m itching to get into the paint again! For those of you who are as brave, or silly as me, how did you make it “cleaner”? Post a comment and let me know!

I pray you all have a productive, happy, and memorable week! Get down on the floor and play with your kids….let them teach you how to be a kid again….Little A gave me a great lesson on blocks yesterday 🙂
