The recipe calls for the egg noodles-the curly ones. I think that makes more of a &#8220;crust&#8221; I added an egg to my pasta once cooked. It would have worked had I done that right before I put it in the pan. I did it too early and it turned into scrambled eggs. Added protein you couldn&#8217;t taste!)<\/p>\n<p>1-2 cans of tomato sauce (500 ml)<\/p>\n<p>1 can tomato paste<\/p>\n<p>4 cups grated cheese (2 if you like light cheese, we go a little overboard at our house!)<\/p>\n<p>Veggies of choice-we used red onions &amp; peppers)<\/p>\n<p>2 chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces<\/p>\n<p>EVOO (for those of you not Racheal Ray fans-Extra Virgin Olive Oil)<\/p>\n<p>Salt<\/p>\n<p>Pepper<\/p>\n<p>2 Tablespoons (or less, again to your liking) of each Basil, Oregano, &amp; Parsley (dried-or double it for fresh). I rub the herbs between my palms before I put it in to release the flavors (again, Ms. Ray taught me well! Add onions and even some garlic half way through cooking, or whenever you want. I like my veggies to still have some life left in them once the casserole is cooked. With EVOO, cook your bite sized chicken.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Step 4: Take out the Chicken from the pan &amp; add the veggies. Fry those up to your liking.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp mceIEcenter\">\n<dl>\n<dt><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daisysgarden.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_9423.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-858\" src=\"http:\/\/www.daisysgarden.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_9423.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: 11px;line-height: 17px\">\u00a0Season with salt &amp; pepper, cook 2 minutes &amp; set aside.<\/span><\/dt>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Step 5: Add the tomato paste &amp; herbs to the veggies mix. Tomato Sauce, Pasta, Cheese, Veggie Mix. Do this twice. You can add pepperoni slices on the top for that added &#8220;pizza&#8221; taste.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Step 8: Let set about 10 minutes. Try beef, spicy chicken, etc.<\/p>\n<p>-Baking time varies by oven. If you bake lasagna often, go by what works for that dish in your oven.<\/p>\n<p>-An assistant under 3 feet is suggested, but not required:)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I am by no means a great cook!
