Today it has been Twenty years.<\/p>\n

Twenty Years since I moved here.<\/p>\n

Twenty Years since I first had a hard time making new friends.<\/p>\n

Twenty Years since I learned that everyone wasn’t always as nice as they seemed.<\/p>\n

Twenty Years since I really realized Family always has your back.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Twenty Years I have also gained wonderful sisters who I won’t trade for anything.<\/p>\n

I have learned what it means to love and then lose…and then have relationship restored.<\/p>\n

I have learned what it means to not always take the easy road, but the one less traveled.<\/p>\n

I have learned how to be a good friend, and how to leave the ones that drag you down, behind.<\/p>\n

I have learned that this isn’t just the whole world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’ve traveled.<\/p>\n

I’ve packed up friends and family who have moved from this place.<\/p>\n

I’ve considered leaving. But something holds me.<\/p>\n

That I still don’t know.<\/p>\n

But what I know is that if it weren’t for this place, God would have had to do so much more to get me here.<\/p>\n

He was always guiding. \u00a0I had to be here to get to where I am.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’m in a place of trusting Him right now.<\/p>\n

At first, I was upset about that.<\/p>\n

But then I realized…in Twenty years, I haven’t really not had that experience.<\/p>\n

There was always a general idea of the next step.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So here I am. Waiting for what’s next.<\/p>\n

I trust, He has it all planned out.<\/p>\n

Even as I sit in a season of rest and trust.<\/p>\n

I can for the first time in Twenty years, hear clearly. Deeply.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And that, my friends, is what Twenty years does.<\/p>\n

It builds Trust.<\/p>\n

Trust in a Saviour who is so much bigger, in control, than I ever need to be.<\/p>\n
